OUR WORK
Healing Grounds brings together two essential dimensions of thriving community life: learning and restoration.

Space to restore and reconnect.
The Rest is our longer-term vision for retreat and restorative experiences that support reflection, creativity, connection, and renewal.

As physical space becomes available, we envision welcoming individuals and groups for retreats, nature-based experiences, creative and contemplative practice, and opportunities to experience healing-centered and regenerative community life.

Learning and  building together.
The Practice brings people together to exchange knowledge, build relationships, and develop the practical capacities that help communities thrive.

Through workshops, gatherings, conversations, learning networks, creative and cultural programs, and land-based experiences, we explore collective care, belonging, shared leadership, ecological stewardship, access to land and home, and regenerative approaches to community life.
our approach
We are beginning where community begins:Â by bringing people together.
Our work is developing in phases. We are starting with The Practice, creating opportunities for people to learn, connect, and build capacity together. Over time, as physical space becomes available, we envision developing The Rest, creating opportunities for retreat, reflection, and renewal.
our roots
Rooted in Kinstead. Growing beyond it.
Healing Grounds grew out of the vision for Kinstead, a healing-centered, regenerative ecovillage taking shape in New York's Hudson Valley.
The Kinstead Approach
Kinstead is bringing cooperative housing, shared governance, community life, and regenerative land stewardship together as part of one interconnected ecosystem.
Healing Grounds carries this vision beyond the ecovillage, connecting people, organizations, and communities through shared learning, collaboration, and opportunities for restoration. Together, we're exploring how these practices can take root and strengthen communities beyond Kinstead.
